Xerox Equipment Recycling

Xerox pioneered the practice of remanufacturing, reusing and the recycling of office equipment. We offer a number of options for you to recycle and responsibly dispose of Xerox equipment based on state regulations, contract status, and/or the machine model.

Important- If your equipment is in a lease or rental agreement, you will need to ensure the appropriate paperwork is completed before removing your equipment. If you are unsure or would like more information, call our Customer Business Center at 1-888-771-5225 to speak to a representative.

Xerox-Owned Equipment

Please review the Xerox Equipment Return, Reuse and Recycle Methods for state-specific electronic waste management requirements in Hawaii, Illinois, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Utah and Wisconsin.

Machines from all other states, and those that do not qualify under state regulations, may still ship the machine to Xerox for reuse or recycling. You pay the shipping cost, and Xerox will cover the recycling costs.

If the Xerox machine was introduced in 1979 or before, it may contain PCBs. Therefore, Xerox will remove the machine from the customer site at no charge. Contact Xerox EH&S Customer Support at 800-ASK-XEROX (1-800-275-9376), and have the Xerox machine model and serial number available.

Donate your equipment: If you would like to donate your equipment instead of returning it to Xerox, we have partnered with the National Cristina Fund to provide an outlet to do so. The equipment must be in working condition to qualify for donation through the National Cristina Foundation (NCF). The foundation can also accept donations of used working computers, monitors, and other peripheral equipment such as scanners and fax machines. Learn more at http://www.cristina.org/.

Xerox Leased or Rented

Find and contact your sales representative to arrange for a pick up and removal of unwanted equipment and to ensure the appropriate paperwork is complete.
